Day 01– Kandy
Our guide will warmly welcome you at the Airport and will guide you towards Kandy.
- Pinnwala Elephant Orphanage
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild elephants. Pinnwala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world.
- The Temple of the Tooth
The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic or Sri Dalada Maligawa or is most venerated Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former kingdom of Kandy. It has the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
- Kandyan Dance
Kandyan dance is a form of dance culture in sri lanka. It’s native to Kandy, the Central Hills region known as Udarata.
Day 02 – Sigiriya
Day 02 takes you to Sigiriya.
- Traditional Village Tour
The village tour starts with a bullock cart ride near the village pond and then catamaran boat ride which takes through fascinating and picturesque sightseeing. A short walk through paddy fields and vegetable plots will lead you to an ancient village where cooking demonstration on traditional cooking will be done and later to enjoy the tasty food of Sri Lanka.
Sigiriya Rock is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it the 8th Wonder of the World. It is a masterpiece of our ancestors.
Pidurangala is a huge and massive rock situated in Sigirya and few kilometers away from Sigirya rock. It holds number of historical articles and attracting sightseeing.
Tourists can decide on rock climbing either Sigiriya Rock or Pidurangala Rock based their interest. Or tour around the Sigiriya rock.
Day 03 & 04– Trincomalee Beach/ Historical Places/ Pigeon Island
Day 03 takes you to Tricomalee. Our next visit in the 07 Days Vacation Sri Lankar is Tricomalee it is a sacred city for Sri Lankan Tamils and Hindus around the world as it holds the most famous sacred place of Hindus. The collection of religious most importance includes with Koneswarma temple compound. The Koneswaram is the temple of a thousand columns; Hindu historical site which has been there even before 3rd century BCE attracts thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Apart from the temple, the Dutch Fort, Natural Harbour, hot springs that depict the architecture of our ancestors. Hundreds and thousands of both locals and tourists all over the world visit these places annually.
Nilavali Beach
It is one of the beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka for relaxation. Palm trees along the beach and attractive fishing hotspots add glamour to the beach. The beauty of the beach attracts thousands of tourists and locals throughout the year. Perfect location for scuba diving.
Pigeon Island
Day 04 takes you to Pigeon Island is one of two marine parks located in Sri Lanka and which is a home to a range of protected marine life. You will also find Coral reefs with over 300 coral reef fish species, sharks, and sea turtles. Also, the main attraction would be a lot of rock pigeons – hence the name of the island. (The best time to visit Pigeon Island is from May to September)
Day 05 – Anuradhapura
Day 05 takes you Anuradhapura. Our next visit in the 07 Days Vacation Sri Lanka is Anuradhapura which is one the most ancient capitals in the history of Sri Lanka. The city is famous for its historical places and ruins of ancient Lankan civilization which are well-reserved to up today. It was the capital of Sri Lanka from the 4th century BC to the beginning of the 11th century AD. The ancient city is considered to be a sacred kingdom in the Buddhist Religion. Therefore, the city includes monasteries and temples. Sri Maha Bodhi, AbhayagiriDagaba, Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, Thuparamay, Lovamahapaya, Jetavanaramay, Mirisaveti Stupa are famous and sacred places holding significant value of its own place.
Day 06 Kalpitiya
Day 06 takes you to Kalpitiya which is one of the famous cities in Sri Lanka for kite surfing. One of the ideal places to rest and relax at the beach. City tour in the evening covers historical places and fascinating sightseeing of the city. (It depends on your interest)
You may decide to engage in following activities depending on the time schedule and on your preference.
- Kite surfing
- Dolphin watching
- Island trip.
Day 07 – Negombo
Back to Hotel in Negombo or the Air Port
Tour ends on the 07th day after reaching Negombo or the Air Port.
- Please note that at your request we may continue the tour further visiting places based on your interest or may drop you at North Western province so that you can enjoy your journey as you prefer.
